I came to City Hall four years ago as a lawyer experienced in fighting for workers’ rights and civil rights. I promised I would work hard, be accountable and accessible, and put my progressive values in action -- and I have followed through. I’ve focused on neighborhood economic development and good jobs; championed transit, biking and walking; and worked to ensure our neighborhoods are safe and vital.
I am running for re-election to continue the work we started together. I will bring people together for a common purpose – to ensure this is a great city for all of us, not just some of us. We have accomplished a great deal, but there are new challenges now as Minneapolis deals with an even greater need for services in the face of economic crisis. My goal is to work with you to address these challenges and also strengthen Minneapolis as a regional leader and innovator that’s able to meet the needs of the 21st Century.
